Arbor Waterman Complete Longboard

Arbor's highly tapered, flex-style pin - the slightly concave Waterman features an oversize wheelbase for stability at speed, and a responsive, fiberglass-reinforced flex that delivers a loose, carve-oriented ride, with amazing rail-to-rail performance. Venice based artist, Jake Pickle developed a graphic for the Waterman that reflects some of surfing's essential connections.

A new composite design created to deliver style, flex, and return. It is built with a unique blend of materials that deliver a powerful combination of attributes, including: carve-oriented performance; solid downhill style; the right amount of surf heritage; and most importantly, a respect for the environment. In the end, it’s the environment that makes a life of surf, skate, and snow possible. This awareness has always been important to both Kelly and Arbor. It fueled our design efforts ensuring the creation of the most environmentally friendly composite skate possible. The Waterman Series is built around four plys of sustainably sourced Canadian Hardrock Maple sandwiched between two layers of pre-cured fiberglass. The glass makes the board’s long-lasting flex-style performance possible - creating a fun, more forgiving ride. In the Arbor tradition, we added an innovation not previously used in composite design; we finished the deck with an ecologically accessed ply of Hawaiian Koa wood, creating improved durability and response time. Koa’s widely varying color and grain patterns ensure that each Waterman skate is a unique, one of a kind piece of art, while Koa’s history solidifies the skate’s legacy. Koa was first used 1,000 years ago by the Ancient Hawaiians to build the original surfboards and create the sport of surfing.,/p>

• Sustainably Sourced Hardrock Maple Plys - Maple provides the best blend of durability and light-weight performance. It's also redially available and affordable, allowing us to offer a price point that is uncommonly low for an eco-product.
  
  
• Sustainably Sourced Koa Finish Ply - Koa's dense grain adds structure, which improves return, while providing a unique pattern on each skate and true heritage. Koa wood was used by the Hawaiians to build the 1st surfboards 1,000 years ago.
  
  
• Recycled Glass - Crushed recycled glass is used in our clear re-grip to replace highly processed grip tapes - allows the natural grain to remain visible, while providing better performance than the silica bead-based alternatives.
  
  
• Water-Based Finishes - All Arbor skates are produced using a water-based sanding sealer and final finish as the best way to help protect the air we all breath, especially when skating…
  
  
• Recycled Plastic Risers - All Arbor completes are shipped with recycled plastic risers, which helps both Arbor and our customers reduce our reliance on petroleum and contribution to land fills.
  
  
• Reclaimed Wood By-product - all wood by-product created during the production of our skates is reclaimed for use in other Arbor products or by outside companies, which helps stretch a key resource, while reducing the strain on land fills and forests.
